Pozzo Wine Club has been founded in 2020 by Simone Meattini, a young restaurateur who owns “Trattoria il Pozzo”, one of the most traditional and oldest restaurants in Montalcino since 1958. In recent years we had the pleasure to host (more than once) famous wine critics such as Robert Parker, Karin O’Keefe, Galloni, Monica Larner and many more jornalists of the industry. Moreover, every year Simone takes part at the “The Benvenuto Brunello” (Brunello anteprima) as one of the staff member to make sure that all the organization behind the event is ran smoothly. Having all these experience and passion for Italian wine, today he has access to some of the most extraordinary deals when it comes to Brunello wines.

Due to the contingency of the 2020 situation we had to temporary close our restaurant. In the meantime plenty of affectionate friends and clients from all over the world requested to have access to our restaurant cellar, so we decided to satisfy their requests. As the word of mouth quickly spread across friends and families, we decided to set up a dedicated website, agreements with wineries and the most professional forwarding agent in order to send offers regularly.

You will have the access to one offer per month, which will last seven days or until the product is sold out. You will be notified of the offer by email, the first one is a call, then you’ll receive the reminder with a recall and shortly before the offer closes you will receive the last call.

Yes! As long as the total amount of bottles is equal or above 12. Free shipping will be automatically calculated by the cart. This applies to anywhere we ship in the U.S., excluding Puerto Rico, Alaska and Hawaii. For these 2 States you get an extra charge of €15 every 6 bottles.

During our regular shipping season (October – April), your order ships within 10-15 business days from collection (oftentimes, even sooner!). Our forwarding agent deals with thousands of wine cases each year, so rest ensured that your wine is in safe hands. In the summer months (typically July – September) it is our policy to hold the wine at our cellar until the temperatures are safe for shipping. This is for your benefit and the integrity of your wine! Heat is wine’s worst enemy.

No, sorry. We ship by air with the fastest courier, so our standard service is the express service of others.

Usually we sell out, and when it’s gone, it’s gone, right? Well, there’s always the chance that we have few bottles available in our Cellar. Feel free to email us at wineclub@trattoriailpozzo.com in the off-chance quantity is still there.

 

Yes, of course. Our offers are the best deals in that specific moment, but the purpose of the Pozzo Wine Club is to satisfy all your cravings for Italian wines! For phone calls please email us your number and we’ll be happy to call you back.

When you receive the shipment, before signing, please check the integrity of the parcel, if there are any damages or leaking please do not accept it. Please take a picture and send it to us at wineclub@trattoriailpozzo.com We’ll take care of it and send a replacement parcel ASAP.

We generally cannot accept returns of wine in your possession longer than 6 months, as we have no way of knowing your specific storage conditions. We hope you understand. We will, however, review this on a case-by-case basis.

Pozzo Wine Club guarantees the excellent provenance of the wine it sells. We will happily return, refund, credit, or exchange bottles that suffer from the following conditions:

Wine that is leaking on arrival.

Incorrect fulfilment (wrong vintage, etc.)

Shipping problems that are clearly the fault of the shipper or Pozzo Wine Club.

 

All our shipments are insured by default, to grant you the very best service.

You can pay using Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We do not accept checks or money orders.
