Very few estates, over Montalcino appellation, deeply changed the soul and the history of Brunello as Casanova di Neri did. The very first bottling is a 1977 ‘Vino Rosso dai Vigneti di Brunello’, as Rosso di Montalcino was once known. But in 1978 Casanova di Neri’s first Brunello di Montalcino bottling is produced. The family’s three vineyards in the north-eastern quadrant of Montalcino, including those closest to the cellar and winery HQ, it carries what will with time become the most famous Modern style Brunello! In 2006 the explosion of the awarness of the CdN Cellar, Wine Spectator rated Tenuta Nuova Brunello di Montalcino 2001 as the Best Wine allover the world giving 100 pt!!! Simply a legend! Must Have!

James Suckling – 100 Points – Wow. Incredible purity and transparency with cherries, bark, mushroom, flower and slate/stone on the nose. Full-bodied yet agile and fresh with a fine tannin structure that runs the length of the wine and goes on forever. The polish, elegance and grace is breathtaking. Power with agility. A revelation for the 2016 vintage in Brunello. Drink in 2024 and onwards but wonderful to taste now.
