Description
When it comes to Lisini and Montalcino the roots go extremely deep. The family was already present in the 1500. However, the viticulture activity started only at the beginning of 1900. The Lisini family were considered amongst the most famous Sienese merchants and also related with the Biondi Santi Family (father of the Brunello). Exactly as the other few historic producers present at the time, the winery experience a tremendous boost in quality around the 60s. A good example of a winery that has been growing step by step with the appellation itself. The acquisition of the vineyards of Ugolaia and Capannelle close to Sant’Angelo in Colle helped them to write the history together with the other historic Montalcino wineries able to deliver outstanding quality starting from the very beginning. The Ugulaia cru is certainly the maximum expression of their portfolio. A wine that’s intense and full in body and structure. The finish is never ending an almost perfect expression of the Sant’Angelo Microenvironment facing South West.
